What is psychotherapy?
Psychotherapy is a way of treating mental, emotional and psychological difficulties without using medication. Psychotherapy is collaborative endeavor between therapist and client and involves, talking, thinking and processing to achieve a desired result.
Specific strategies will be used, to help you come to your own conclusions with therapist guidance and support.
EMDR is a psychotherapeutic approach.
What is Yoga Psychotherapy?
Yoga Therapy is the application of Yoga principles and philosophies applied to individuals to achieve a particular psychological, emotional, physical or spiritual goal.
I use Yoga alongside psychotherapy for complete mind-body-soul healing. This approach is useful in cultivating a positive relationship with self, managing emotions, self soothing and discovery!
What are your qualifications?
Bachelor's Degree: Human Services with emphasis on non-profit management
Master's Degree: Counseling Psychology with emphasis on Marriage and Family Therapy
Doctorate Degree: In progress
EMDR certification from the EMDR international association (EMDRIA)
Registered yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance (200 hr) with specialized yoga training in trauma informed practices, yin and restorative yoga.

How often and how long will I need to be in therapy?
I provide both short term and long term therapy.
Together we will decide what is best for you based on your goals and current needs.
I typically see clients every other week unless other arrangements are made.
Can I use my health insurance for services?
Yes, If your insurance allows reimbursement for out-of-network providers. You will need to pay the fees up front and the insurance company will send you a reimbursement for what is paid.
I will complete insurance documents and correspond with companies for this matter, free of charge.
How much will therapy cost me?
Service fees are determined by the type of service you are receiving.

A limited number of sliding scale appointments are available, please inquire if you are interested.
What types of payment do you accept?
Cash, Paypal, CashApp only at this time.

What if I can't make a scheduled appointment?
Contact me as soon as you realize that you will not be able to meet. Cancellations must be made within 24 hours to avoid penalty unless we both agree that you were unable to attend due to circumstances beyond your control.
Penalties include full payment for the session missed. Insurance companies will not reimburse the fees for missed appointments, and in such cases it will be the full responsibility of the client to submit payment.
How can EMDR help? What if I don't have major trauma?
EMDR isnt only used for significant or complex traumas. It helps address negative thinking patterns that are created from difficult memories and everyday situations. We can talk more about how this can help you.
