Insurance & Accessibility
The Connection Clinic primarily operates as a private-pay practice. This allows us to offer care that is thoughtful, relational, and not limited by insurance restrictions.
As part of our commitment to accessibility, we reserve a small portion of our practice for clients using insurance or sliding scale rates. These spaces are limited and based on availability.
If you are hoping to use insurance or inquire about sliding scale availability, we’re happy to guide you through next steps.

SLIDING SCALE RATES
We reserve a limited number of reduced-fee appointments as part of our commitment to accessibility. These spaces are intended to support clients navigating financial constraints and are offered on a time-limited basis, reviewed periodically to ensure sustainability for both clients and clinicians.
SUPERBILLS
For clients using out-of-network benefits, we provide a monthly superbill that you may submit directly to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Reimbursement rates vary by plan, and we encourage you to contact your insurer to understand your specific out-of-network mental health coverage. If you have general questions about how this process works, contact us at billing@connectionclinic.org, and we can answer any questions you have.
Benefits of Paying out of pocket
We primarily operate as a private-pay practice because it allows therapy to remain centered on relationship, depth, and your full lived experience , not insurance requirements.
Insurance-based care often requires a formal diagnosis, documentation of “medical necessity,” or session limits that shape how therapy unfolds. Private-pay support allows us to move at a pace that reflects your goals, your values, and the context of your life.
PRIVATE PAY OFFERS:
Greater confidentiality and privacy
No required mental health diagnosis
Flexibility in session frequency and length
Freedom from insurance-imposed session limits
Space for deeper, long-term growth
Care that honors your identity, culture, and lived experience without reducing it insurance standards
Get the kind of therapy that is built around you
Many clients appreciate and prefer the autonomy, privacy, and continuity that private-pay therapy offers. It allows the therapeutic process to move at a pace that feels intentional and aligned, rather than shaped by external approvals or limitations. If you would like to know more about private pay or insurance options, contact our office.
