Expanding global mental health and wellness through high-quality, equitable care to historically overlooked and underserved communities.

What we believe
At The Connection Clinic, we believe therapy should be thoughtful, steady, and attuned to the full scope of your life and wellbeing. Your mental health does not exist in isolation; it is shaped by your entire world: relationships, family history, culture, work, the environment, sociopolitical factors, and the broader systems you move through each day. Our approach is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and grounded in the understanding that meaningful change happens within relationship and context , not through symptom management alone.
Because culture and identity shape our perspectives, our work is rooted in understanding and affirming who you are
We are passionate about working with underserved or historically harmed groups and communities specifically, Black people, people of color, LGBTQ+ folx, people with disabilities, immigrants, first and second generation folx and families. Here is what that looks like in action:
Our commitment to decolonizing care is reflected in both our therapeutic approach and our internal structures. We attend to power, identity, and systemic influence within the therapy relationship, while also designing services that prioritize equity, representation, and cultural responsiveness.
We emphasize sustained, relational psychotherapy rather than brief, symptom-only intervention. Our clinicians integrate trauma-informed, somatic, expressive, and values-based approaches when clinically appropriate, supporting meaningful and lasting change.
Clients are supported within a collaborative clinical structure. Our therapists consult regularly, share perspectives, and coordinate thoughtfully when appropriate. Even when working with one clinician, clients benefit from the collective expertise and insight of the broader team.
We understand that mental health and wellbeing are shaped by relationships, family systems, identity, culture, work, the environment, politics and the broader social landscape. Therapy at TCC honors this full context rather than isolating individuals from the environments that influence them.
We operate across individual therapy, group work, and organizational partnerships, allowing us to support both personal wellbeing and the relational systems people are part of.

DR. NICOLE TAYLOR
A note from our Founder & Clinical Director
I founded The Connection Clinic in 2018 with the intention of creating a space for care that feels relational, culturally aware, and grounded in connection. What began as a solo practice has grown into a collective of therapists committed to decolonizing therapy and providing trauma-informed, responsive care.
This work was shaped by recognizing how isolating and overwhelming both private practice and seeking support can be. My intention has been to build something more connected. Where both the therapists within our practice and the people we serve feel supported, resourced, and able to sustain this work over time.
Our commitment to a decolonizing approach is reflected not only in the care we provide, but in how we operate as a practice: centering collaboration, shared responsibility, and attention to power, systems, and privilege, while also supporting approaches that extend beyond traditional talk therapy.
This work is collective, and we’re grateful to be part of it alongside you.
You deserve a space where your story, identity, and emotions are met with care
Reaching out for therapy can feel vulnerable, especially if you grew up in a community where mental health was rarely discussed. Our practice offers a warm, respectful environment where your experiences are honored and healing can begin.
You are supported by more than one perspective here
Today, TCC is a vibrant collective of practitioners committed to providing safe, inclusive, and empowering care to individuals impacted by systemic and historical oppressions. We understand that many people experience misalignments in traditional mental health spaces, and we strive to create a space where healing can happen in community; fostering support, connection, and growth for both clients and providers. Our approach prioirtizes decolonizing care and collaboration: therapists rarely work in isolation, so every client benefits from the combined perspectives and expertise of our team. We consult with one another, share recommendations, and coordinate care across family or community needs when appropriate. This ensures every client feels known, seen, and supported by TCC, and receives the insight and care of a rounded team, something that sets us apart from other systems of care.
