Zena Andreani  (she/her)

Associate Marriage and Family Therapist #111220

My goal as a therapist is to help you understand your own history; your experiences in suffering, joy, grief, and more, so that you can openly see the person you are today and explore the person you might like to become.

About Me

I received my Bachelor’s Degree In English and Religious Studies from Santa Clara University and a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology, with a focus on Marriage and Family Therapy, from the University of San Francisco. My experience includes working with community-based organizations that provided crisis intervention and recovery services for survivors of intimate partner violence, youth involved with the juvenile justice system, as well as individuals experiencing suicidality.

Although my clinical practice is mostly rooted in family systems theory, I consider my approach to be eclectic as I do include aspects of Dialectic Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral, Narrative, and Psychodynamic Therapy.

I do my very best to make sure you are provided with a warm and friendly environment where you can heal, recover, or just learn more about yourself.  Feedback from previous clients was that I had an open, humorous, flexible, and interactive style.

My areas of focus include:

Grief and Bereavement

Depression, Isolation, and Suicide

Substance Use, Addictions, and Recovery

Codependency and Relationship Problems

Family Therapy
