Erika Liu-Culpin  (she/her)
Manager of Mental Health Services

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist #99752

My goal is to provide support to the clinical program by providing leadership from a whole person, integrative family systems approach. I support the organization’s mission to provide quality, equitable access to mental health services, while also providing specialized support for vulnerable and often excluded populations, increasing global mental health and wellness one person at a time.

My Journey

I obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology with minors in both Creative Writing & Art at The University of California Merced and a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy at Palo Alto University. I am currently navigating life as a new mom. I grew up in a multicultural household in the Bay Area and recently returned after living in Australia for four years. I have experience working in a hospital, non-profit organization, and school-based setting where I provided comprehensive individual and group counseling services to youth and families since 2013. As a former AmeriCorps member, I have experience implementing school readiness services and social-emotional developmental skills into therapeutic services.

I conduct therapy through the lens of a Humanistic Approach and am client-centered based. As humans, there is no "cookie-cutter" solution in therapy. Therapy will include a variety of approaches to cater to each individual's unique needs and experiences. Regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, occupation, life stage, relationship status, or circumstance ~ my goal is to help you shift your perspective and learn more about yourself on a deeper level by practicing gratitude, mindfulness, and implementing various strategies to help in your own personal healing. If you are looking for someone to listen, help you find strength, and navigate through life's challenges, I am here to encourage you every step along the way through all of life's stages. Each session will differ, but my goal is to always bring authenticity, support, and non-judgment. I find such joy in having the opportunity to help individuals (such as yourself!) acquire the skills needed to live a healthy, happy, meaningful life.

I am an outgoing, friendly, warm soul and I look forward to connecting with you!
